Rimfire Benchrest is exactly what we do in a match. .22 caliber rimfire rifles are shot from a bench using an adjustable front rest/sandbag on the stock forend and a sand bag rest on the rear of the stock. Targets are placed 50 yards or 50 meters downrange. There are three classes of rifles, Sporter (7.5 pounds), 10.5 pounds and the unlimited class. These rifles can be chambered in .22 rimfire, short , long or long rifle.

The ammunition must be commercially available, utilizing a lead projectile. Jacketed ammo is not allowed.

Each match for each class consists of unlimited sighter shots, 25 record shots at 50 yards/50 meters in 30 minutes, from a bench, at one target. Competitors draw for bench location and bench rotation is required for each class. A RBA match contests three classes: Sporter Class 10.5 and unlimited. Competitors can compete only one time in each class.

The sporter class rifle must meet the following qualifications:

7.5 pounds or less, including the scope.
