The Palmetto Gun Club is a multi-discipline private shooting sports club, dedicated to providing our membership with a first rate and safe shooting facility. We are proud to host several state championship matches as well as regional championship matches. Our facility is second to none, complete with camping facilities, electrical service, running water, rest rooms and showers. It's a nice place to park your camper while you are participating in a sponsored match.
Our range, located near Summerville, SC in Dorchester County (See Link Below For Maps & Directions to the PGC Range), consists of 10 pistol bays, a 200 yard rifle line and a long range line where you can shoot 300, 400, 500, 600 yards or 835 yards. The range is used for a variety of scheduled matches, usually held on Saturday and Sunday, as well as general plinking and other forms of recreational shooting. The range is open to members and their guests during daylight hours. The public may enter to participate in scheduled matches. PGC is family oriented and encourages bringing family members out to shoot. It is also an ideal place to bring the kids for a fun day and an opportunity for parents to spend quality time with the family while teaching gun safety and responsibility. Our certified Rifle and Pistol instructors regularly teach handgun and rifle courses for target shooters, hunters and self-defense, including concealed carry. The Palmetto Gun Club Monthly Meetings are announced on the Home Page and by Email to the Membership. The Executive Committee meets on the second Tuesday of the month at a time a place determined by the Club President.
